at BEX Asia
At BEX Asia, an anchor exhibition of International Built Environment Week (IBEW), sustainability is more than a commitment — it’s action.
On 16 January 2026, BEX Asia demonstrated this commitment through a tree-planting initiative in support of the National Parks Board’s OneMillionTrees movement. This initiative was made possible with the support of our sustainability partner, Camfil Asia Pacific.
Together with our partners, we’re building a greener future.
RX is an active and dedicated driver of sustainability efforts. At BEX Asia, we strive to reduce our carbon emissions and improve waste management. Given the complex nature of our supply chain and the emissions associated with organising an exhibition, it is only by working together that we will be able to reduce our impact on our environment. We encourage you to embark on this journey with us.
Building A Greener Future
Sustainable Venue
Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is triple platinum certified by the Building and Construction Authority, the US Green Building Council, and the Events Industry Council. It also holds ISO 20121 certification and is Singapore's first carbon-neutral event venue.
Low carbon travel
We encourage attendees to use public transport or carpool whenever possible. This helps reduce carbon emissions associated with event travel.
Food Waste Reduction
Excess food is donated to local charities where possible, while onsite digesters process food waste into greywater. We also serve a no-beef menu to reduce waste and lower our carbon footprint.
Reduced Plastic Use
Plastic badge holders, bottled water and disposable cups are not provided at the event. Bring your reusable water bottles and make use of our complimentary refill stations located throughout the Hall.
Energy Efficiency
The venue is maintained at a comfortable 25°C throughout the event. This balances attendee comfort with energy-efficient operations.
Recycling & Reuse
Recycling bins are available throughout the venue for easy access. Collection boxes are also provided to recover lanyards for reuse.
Reduced
Printing
The Show Directory and Floorplan are available online for convenient access. Digital signage is also used throughout the event to reduce printed materials.
Reusable Stands & Furniture
Our modular stands and furniture are sourced from existing rental inventory. This extends product lifecycles and reduces the need for new materials.
Reduced Carpet
Usage
Carpet use is minimised throughout the exhibition halls. Where carpet is required, we prioritise recycled, reusable, or recyclable materials.
The RX Journey to Net Zero
RX is a founding members of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge to make our company, our shows and the wider events industry net zero. We commit to being Net Zero by 2040 and to make a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
In 2023, we published our pathway to net zero, setting out our reduction strategy with key milestones for all our shows. Given the complex nature of our supply chain and the emissions associated with a show, it is only by working together as an industry that we will be able to reduce our impact. We are building a company of net zero heroes to take action and ensure a sustainable future.
