BEX Asia and our exhibitors, Camfil, ebm-papst, and Singapore Polytechnic, have partnered with Garden City Fund, National Parks Board’s registered charity and IPC, in trying to mitigate Greenhouse gases associated with the event through the Plant-A-Tree programme. Using software developed by Singapore Polytechnic, BEX Asia will attempt to track the carbon footprint of our attendees based on their survey responses, indicating the mode of transport to the exhibition. This interactive initiative aims to raise awareness about sustainability and encourage conscious choices in reducing environmental impact.

Our Actions
The attendee-generated carbon emissions report will be supplemented by our event Impact Statement which tracks the overall estimated carbon emission. Together with our exhibitors, Camfil and edm-papst, donations will be made to the Plant-A-Tree programme under Garden City Fund to offset our carbon emissions and enhance Singapore’s greenery. Our collective effort will bring us closer to realising Singapore’s vision of becoming a City in Nature, a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
How You Can Contribute
Support our “GHG Mitigation Program” by sharing with us your transport modes by answering a few simple questions in our survey. Visit our GHG Mitigation Program engagement booth in BEX Asia to find out our attendees' cumulative estimated CO2 emissions. Explore how BEX Asia and our partners are working to reduce our environmental impact and join us in raising funds for the Garden City Fund.

RX’S SUSTAINABILITY PLAYBOOK
On a larger scale, RX published a Sustainability Playbook at the beginning of 2023 to support our Events and Operations Teams around the world to make more sustainable choices. This comprehensive Playbook offers actionable insights and practical measures that can be implemented immediately.
All our event teams are required to provide options for exhibitors to dispose of recycled waste, weigh the separated landfill and recycling waste streams and report this information to RX and develop links to donation programmes for waste products and especially for food waste.
We are also working towards only promoting airlines and hotels which have credible Net Zero and sustainability strategies and incentivise the use of public transport.
